ASSESMEN/PEMBOBOTAN PROPORSIONAL SEBAGAI BASIS RANCANG BANGUN BERWAWASAN PELESTARIAN YANG DINAMIS

Abstract

Conservation is a complicated activity due to its components and processes. Various aspects with their own forms, importancies and behaviour have to work together for gaining the exelent result. That is why ‘conservation’ become a serious problem in most of developing countries such as Indonesia which have a lot of another crucial problems including economics, social and humanity.This research was focused in a step of conservation, namely assessment of heritage nomenee. The result of assessment give a correlative comphrehension to various cultural significancies background of a heritage nomenee therefore it has to be considered properly for getting a strategy and field action of managing a heritage matter. The adaptive use of the retaired ice factory Sari Petojo became a case study of this research because it is a representation of actual case that indicate a complexity of conservation work. The interaction of important principles of assessing the heritage of The Burra Charter with the esences of architectural plenning were adopted in building the parameters of assessment. This interaction produced a tabel with 24 spaces that have to be filled with describsion of valid data. The result of analysis of research indicated three important aspects. Firstly, The retaired ice factory Sari Petojo has not been able to classify as haritage because only 5 of 24 spaces were strongly described. Secondly, if the nomenee is assumed as heritage, the most suitable strategy of conservation is revitalization/adaptive use. Thridly, the planning of revitalization to nomenee has to be integrated with the planning of development of space/area nearby
