Abstract


The overall flow of waste in the District of Sukoharjo all end up in landfill in the form of waste, the lack of waste management efforts that started from the beginning or completion of waste as close as possible to the source. Production of household waste an average of 136.34 m3 per day, the largest amount of waste volume on the type of non-household waste is the waste market, namely the volume reaches 74 m3 (77%). The amount of waste per day of production and haulage 236.34 m3 and 130.00 m3 waste was transported, the number is 106.34 m3. Appropriate waste management methods for Sukoharjo district is using the method of sorting waste at the source by applying the concept ‘Waroeng 5 R’, with a view to reducing the burden of hauling and landfill as a place of management of the End.
