Abstract

Karaton Kasunanan Surakarta was the origin of the city of Surakarta, and Kauman was the religious core of the realm. Both has become a unique cultural tourism district. Up to now, there still a lot of mystery in the district, including the one with cultural and architectural nuance, that need to be revealed. This research utilizes phenomenological approach, using survey method in compiling information.
