PEMAHAMAN KONSTRUKSI RUMAH TAHAN GEMPA PADA MASYARAKAT PEDESAAN DI WILAYAH KABUPATEN BANTUL

Abstract

Earthquake resistant for non-engineered building has become an issue in the development of housing in Bantul Region. Bantul Region is one of gristle region with high risk earthquake disaster. Most of the Bantul’s resident having living in agrarian area and lives in rural. This study aims to know the level of knowledge of proper seismic-resistant building construction specification in Bantul rural area. The survey is carried out in four Dusuns using stratified random sampling method. The result of research indicates that the knowledge material on seismic-resistant building construction can be mastered by the community at 78,48% on average.
