KAJIAN FISIK STASIUN KERETA API KUNO DI SURAKARTA
Abstract
Solo is one of the old City in Central Java. We can see a number of ancient building
on Solo, like Kasunanan and Mangkunegaran Palace, Agung Mosque, Gedhe Market, BNI
Bank. Besides those public buildings, there are four ancient railway stations in Solo, Solo
Balapan, Jebres, Purwosari and Sangkrah. The railway stations built from 1873 until 1922 by
Thomas Karsten and another welknown architect in that period. The buildings have the
speciphics style and structure, the city government used to conserv that. This study describes
the phisics form of ancient railway stations in Surakarta, and the reason how to conserv the
building, that depens on : the age of the buildings, histories, designers, compositions, styles,
sites/environments, usability
