Abstract
Architecture contains many kinds of theories. One of them talks about the form and
the space. In order to build an understanding of the architecture students of such term, an
example of form and space theory is being used. Began with the theory of Lao Tzu which
talked about ‘space’, Camillo Sitte’s and other’s which taught about ‘space’ of an urban
settings.This article is aimed to compare the urban planning of some well-known urban
planners, whose designs have been being learned by architecture and planning students yet is
still exist in the original sites. The comparison of those various urban planning may be used to
improve the cognition and the perception of the students about such topics.
