Abstract

The Kafe Komik building in Solo is building that can accommodate a variety of activities related to comics in Solo City, such as production, distribution, and consumption comics activities for example. Historical and cultural’s given that has strong inherent in the people of Solo provides opporunities and challenges for the development of the region. Each region is required to develop the capabilities and attractiveness. The problem of design that arises is how to design café building and also buildings that cater to comics activities that can provide function as an integrated building. The concept of cultural synergy chosen as the approach because the comic and people of Surakarta is a part of the culture which must synergized better than having to be separated. The concept of cultural synergy is expressed through the synergy of spatial patterns. The methods that used include to include methods of data collection and data processing that consist of a phase of analysis and synthesis, as well as the methods of discussion and formulation of the concept. Therefore, with the potential of the building is expected to be more lifted Solo City.
