Aplikasi Metode Taguchi pada Optimasi Parameter Permesinan Terhadap Kekasaran Permukaan dan Keausan Pahat HSS pada Proses Bubut Material ST 37
Abstract
Factors in turning process have been commonly examined including speed, feed, and depth of cut for reducingvariation respon of surface roughness and wear of chisel HSS in turning process material ST 37. In addtiion, further research deal with the combination of factors that determine the cutting speed, feed, depth of cut to produce the optimum response to the turning process have been conducted to minimaze the surface roughness and tool wear.
The recent test uses Ann Yang Machinery CO. LTD, Taiwan type DY-380X000G. This test was held at State Vocational School
Kertosono (SMK Negeri 1 Kertosono). Therefore the test of surface roughness and tool wear HSS was conducted at the Laboratory of Manufacturing, Mechanichal Engineering, Institute of Technology Surabaya. Optimization methods used in this study was the Taguchi method aided with software Minitab 17 to determine the characteristic performance of the machine parameters.
The result showed that machine turning process type DY-380X000G on material ST 37 was influenced by several factors. The most influential of the three factors that were tested for surface roughness of the work piece is the cutting speed, is that 4.65, while for tool wear is the feet, is that 1.36
