PENGARUH VARIASI ADHESIVE TERHADAP KEKUATAN BENDING KOMPOSIT CANTULA 3D-UPRs DENGAN CORE HONEYCOMB KARDUS TIPE C-FLUTE
Abstract
Abstract : The aim of research is to investigate the effect of adhesive variation on flexural strength of UPRs Cantula 3D Sandwich Composite with C-Flute corrugated cardboard honeycomb core. The adhesives applied in this research were some type of polyester such as 157 BQTN EX, LP 1Q EX, FW 21 EXL, and type of epoxy such as Versamid 140. The Hand lay up methode was used to make UPRs-Cantula 3D composites with 30 % weight ratio content. The flexural strength test was according to ASTM C 393 and the observation to surface fracture from the specimen of flexural strength test was done by Scanning Electron Microscope. The result indicated that the highest flexural strength was 7,98 MPa that reached by adhesive Versamid 140. The observation of surface fracture composite showed that UPRs Cantula 3D Sandwich Composite with adhesive Versamid 140, have less pull out and short fibre fracture.
