PEMETAAN DAN PENATAAN SANITASI SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN KUALITAS LINGKUNGAN DI KOTA SURAKARTA BAGIAN SELATAN

Abstract

Mapping research and Sanitation Regulation as an effort to create healthy society in
the southern part of Solo city aims to: 1.Identify the public toilet in the southern part of Solo
city that the condition is not feasible to use. 2. To know about the spreading areas of public
toilet in the southern part of Solo city. 3. Make the design of Public Toilet according to the
existing condition and the typology of Public Toilet. The location of this research is in the
southern part of Solo city that consist of Laweyan, Serengan, and Pasar Kliwon district, and
the period of this research is only 6 months. The data analysis was done by using several
methods, among others: 1. Spatial Analysis: to know about the spreading of public toilet in
Solo city. 2. Category Based Analysis (CBA): to classify the typology of public toilet in the
Southern part of Solo city. 3. Interactive Analysis Method. The identification of Existing
condition of Public Toilet is classified into 3 categories, among others: 1.Vacant Land, 2. Type
1: 2 Units, 3. Type 2 : 3 – 6 units. In conclusion, this design development can be made as the
basic of core module. There are 2 kinds of Typologies, among others: Type 1 for 2 units and
Type 2 for 3 – 6 units.
