PELESTARIAN WARISAN BUDAYA KOTAGEDE SEBAGAI KAWASAN PARIWISATA

Abstract

Kotagede is the historic old town and had inherited a variety of cultural heritage
for all of us. Kotagede has been recognized worldwide as a cultural and historic old town.
Cultural heritage is visible in the form of objects (physical) and relics that are not visible (nonphysical),
until now still we can feel its presence. But gradually the two forms of these relics
are increasingly fading along with the development of the global situation. Especially
following the earthquake in 2006, many buildings were severely damaged. Socio-economic
conditions of society are concerned, so as the impact of the declining quality of Kotagede as a
city that is proud of the historic old city of culture.
It is our collective obligation to restore the glory of Kotagede return for being close to original
as usual. How glorious majesty back Kotagede appropriate architectural values that have been
carved and customs of good, unpretentious, and on the other hand how local communities can
maintain direct, maintain and to preserve an ongoing basis.
One form of settlement is a good hope is to develop tourism activities in the region Kotagede.
