SOLO URBAN RESORT DENGAN PENDEKATAN EKO-KULTURAL

Abstract

In 2010, Solo City government launched Solo development in the future as a Solo Eco-cultural City. Based upon this concept, Solo City is being developed become a City with cultural characteristic and environmentally friendly. As an attempt to realize this concept, a hotel resort facility is designed in form of Solo Urban Resort. The problem is how to design residence with recreational and make the customer feel relaxation facility that offer experience of an integration atmosphere with Solo cultural life. Therefore, Eco-cultural approach is being used by observe the phenomenon of Javanese tradition value and ecological concept of the region to be applied on design. The phenomenon of Javanese traditional value is being transformed into the design of Solo Urban Resort into a building mass, pattern, and layout which can afford interaction between local citizen with domestic up to international tourist through ecological cultural space as a cultural attraction of Solo City.
