Abstract

The local central cultural tourism of Solo city, it is a one place to facilitate all activity that is related to art and local Solo city cultural. This facility is also function as an effort in developing potential of local society to contribute in preserving and continuing the existence of local cultural of Solo City in the middle of globalization. This facility is located in downtown of Solo city, in a region called Gladak. Gladak is central district for cultural and tourism development of Solo City. The problem of design that arises is how to design the The local central cultural tourism of Solo city region that can be able to provide its function as a public building to accomodate various activities related to the local culture in Solo. The methods that used to include of design strategy then formulated into concept design. The purpose of this Final Assingment is to plan and design a facility as a central use local society to contribute in an activity which conected with art and local cultural of Solo city. The design approach concept being use is the Eco-cultural City. This concept is being declared by the Goverment Of Solo City in the Urban Spatial Structure Plan until the year of 2025.
