Abstract


Abstract : The aim of this thesis is to redesign injection molding machines that still use kerosene stove as a heater and as a pneumatic piston injection unit. This redesign using morphological matrix. Heating and injection unit into the machine deficiency, assessed and compared with components that can meet the needs of the machine with the technical and economic considerations. Components that are standard parts will be purchased from the market, whereas if there is no market then the component will be created by the machining process. Old heating oil stove now be replaced with a type of Electric Heater Band Heater. While the power screw to replace the injection piston, rotated by an electric motor that has a power of 0.5 hp.
