Abstract


Abstract : This research aims to determine the influence of number blades on the impeller performance and cavitation in centrifugal pumps. This research using NS Basic 13-18 pumps GRUNDFOS semi-open impeller and varying the impeller blade 2, 3, 4, 5. This research is based on the method API 610 to maintain speed 2760 rpm and constant suction pressure then set the capacity

The parameters resulting calculation is the head, the total efficiency, NPSHR, and numbers thoma critical. The results of this research indicate the increasing number of blades increases the values head and efficiency in performance testing. While the increasing number of blade cavitation testing NPSHR. and the number thoma critical (σc) the greater.
