PENGARUH TWISTED MULTIPLE WINGLET TERHADAP GAYA LIFT AEROFOIL NACA 0012 PADA ANGKA REYNOLDS RENDAH

Abstract


This effort examined the potential of twisted multiple winglets without increasing the span of aircraft wing. Wind tunnel models were constructed using NACA 0012 airfoil section and flat plates for winglets. Testing of configurations occured over range of air velocities from 5 m/s to 15 m/s. Wind tunnel balances provided lift and drag measurements. Twelve configurations of twisted multiple winglets examined the best configuration at angle of attack variation. Twisted multiple winglet dihedral configuration 200,100,00,-100,-200 improved maximum coefficient of lift (up to 38,42%) compared with the baseline 0012 wing. The best coefficient of lift at 15 m/s air velocities and the angle of attack is ten degrees.
